Kara unwillingly chuckled, as the Asari joked about the noise Turian ships made when flying over one's house. Of course she was not able to remotely recall this. Even though having lived in a house for some time when her family returned on Rannoch, she did not have the luxury to hear any sorts of life signs like these due unwillingly living at the rectal end of nowhere.
"I bet this is a beautiful thing! I remember spending lots of times at the docks of my birth ship in hope to spot a docking ship. When spotting one, it was always exciting. Almost as if you were able to touch it for some seconds..." She audibly smiled under her helmet, then did a polite bow towards the Asari, thanking her for letting her through and ask for help.
Looking at the Salarian, Kara raised a hand, attempting to explain her need to him, yet as she potted Coeus joining her and offering to work in exchange of Kara getting her desperately needed spare part, she hesitated. Why was he doing this? How could he? Shaking her hand in mild confusion, she reached out for his shoulder and gently squeezed it. "No, no, it's okay Coeus... My suit, my problem..." With a shallow smile she nodded towards him before turning her squeezing of his shoulder into a cheerful patting.
Looking back at the Salarian she tilted her head. She understood that he was more comfortable with sending her to a hospital, yet what she needed ironically was a tiny, pretty simply and not deliberately quarian piece of equipment...
"It's okay. You do not need to fix anything. I can do that myself. And my friend here can help me too..." She gave Coeus an invisible helpless grin, then focused back on the Salarian.
By now the conversation had kind of... Escalated into an entirely strange and unexpected direction. Coeus was offering... Himself? Kara obviously was not very comfortable with this sorts of discussion, and reached out for her friends wrist. "Please, stop it - It's not that urgent, my dear..."
Of course it was urgent, but the last thing Kara wanted to see was her friend sacrificing his mobile platform for hers.
Looking back at the Asari, who clearly was eager to help her - Ironically more eager than the shop's owner right now, she cleared her throat. "I just need a K7-like computer core segment - Mine's damaged and keeps failing, which is not the main problem. It's that I can't manually access my air-filtering controls. The K7 keeps failing, and so does the air dispenser. That sort of fookin' damage also does not permit me to do a bypass. There's lots of similar models I could easily install. I just would have to copy the suit OS, which is... By all means.. The easiest part..."
She took a nervous breath, giving the Asari an invisible slightly helpless look, while still unconsciously squeezing Coeus' wrist.
