"Yeah, yeah it is safe," he said flatly, transfixing his focus entirely on piloting the craft. He was keeping the vehicle's speed up, and working the thrusters in a back and forth motion, giving the ship a lazy S pattern. He threw a quick glance at the sensor suite again, looking for any indication that a ship was on their tale, or that they were receiving fire, but nothing appeared on the radar. Only small indicators for debris were anywhere close to them, leaving them in the clear as they put more distance between them and the explosion.
"Not being shot at," he answered a split second later, his training setting in and keeping his calm. Adrenaline was still pumping into his system and he could feel his heart racing in his chest. Probably wouldn't slow down until they set foot back on the citadel.
"Not long, taking us around, and approaching on another vector," he added a moment later.
He stayed dead silent for the remainder of the journey. Which thankfully wasn't long as the massive Citadel loomed over the explosion a scant hundred kilometers above in orbit. The shuttle looped through one of the small opening near where the Wards were attached to the Presidium, leaving them in a "safe" zone of sorts as C-Sec scanned, ID'ed, and tracked with heavy fire power every vessel that came remotely close to the important ring housing the galaxy's VIPs. It was clear whatever happened had stirred the hornets nest, with nearly fleets worth of C-Sec and Alliance navy craft darted around.
