A lone quarian as lingering around the gallery that connected Epsilon docks with Gozu district. Dust was floating in the air, dancing in the light of the bright spotlights. Big windows offered a few on the row of docked ships and the gangways connected to their airlocks, an assortment of all kinds of spacecraft of the last century. Few people were coming and going, grumpy batarians, krogans laughing loud and boisterous, an occasional lone asari and suspicious salarians. The quarian, her face hidden behind an opaque face mask, was observing them with only little curiosity since she was waiting for a turian and that was all she was interested in. Tuni'Za was wearing a black suit with a bright red hood and red applications. On her belt hung a folded M4 Shuriken SMG but nobody cared about that on Omega, almost everyone was armed here anyway. She was leaning against a beam in a darker corner, arms crossed in front of her chest. She hoped Calistaris had not mistaken her directions.

Calistaris eventually entered Omega via a transport ship docked on the Gozu district. She was wearing casual turian clothing that was predominantly black with blue stripes. She looked down at her omni-tool constantly while also strolling along a suitcase and a briefcase slung over her shoulder. On her back was her AT-12 Raider shotgun, folded nicely and attached to a belt. It didn't take a keen pair of eyes to tell that Calistaris appeared as though she was lost. It was a big space station after all, one she wasn't used to. She simply kept looking down at her omni-tool, then back up and around her, trying to find the Quarian she was going to sell the mods to.

There she was. Tuni’Za recognized what looked like a turian woman looking for someone. With a bemused chuckle the small quarian thought she looked a bit like a tourist from a vid. Not that she had seen many tourists in her life, a few maybe before she settled on Omega but nobody came her for the sights. No one sane at least.
She pushed herself from the wall and strolled over to Calistaris who was significantly taller than her. “Hi, you must be Cali? I am Tuni’Za.” She introduced herself.
She looked around, nobody had been taking notice. Yet. “Listen, uhm… we should move. You want to drop of your stuff somewhere first? Where are you staying?”

Calistaris was rather startled when the small quarian approached her, having been looking down at her omni-tool. She quickly chuckled nervously and fizzed the device away. "A pleasure to meet you, Tuni'Za." She greeted with a smile. She gently tugged on the suitcase strapped to her shoulder. The suitcase itself looked as though it had complex locks and was armored, most likely containing the mods. "Yes, please." She said, looking around as well. "I'm staying in the Medrese district, I have a hotel room booked there." She answered, still looking around to get a good feel of the life on Omega.

Tuni’Za nodded. At least not the unsafest area. “You’ll need a cab to get there. You’re lucky though, it’s an area the cabs don’t refuse to go to currently.” That was true, some cab operators checked daily and had restrictions as to where their unmanned cabs would go to avoid losing them.
“Come along, there’s a station outside the gallery.” Tuni’Za led the two of them into the plaza, a dome like structure serving as a hub into the district and connecting it to others. There was much typical coming and going, dubious figures lounging around in dark corners and the local gang showing their colors – and guns! ‘don’t mess around or you will be in a mess’
There was a cab just ready for them. Tuni’Za entered and waited for Cali to do the same. She didn’t book into the system, since of course that was going to be on Cali’s expense.

Cali continued to watch for a moment of the illicit dealings around her. Not that her own actions were any good either, but it was interesting to see what it's like where crime runs free.
Cali entered the cab with her head ducked down and briefcase across her lap. It was clear she was not familiar with business transactions like this simply with the way she fumbled her luggage and how she hunched herself over while in the vehicle. She placed the small suitcase between her legs on the floor of the cab, unsure if it was appropriate to speak during these forms of transactions.

Was crime a crime when there was no law forbidding it? Well, nobody could clap with one hand (if the other had been chopped off by some gang because of some wrong doing for example). There always was the morale question but that was a highly subjective territory in various ends of the galaxy and Omega made no difference. Omega could make a woman philosophical.
Tuni'Za watched Cali closely and eventually shook her head. She shoud dmake sure they would get the deal over with because from the looks of it and depending where the turian wanted to go, she might not make it long. The quarian had already noticed someone eying the baggage. She was glad when the cab closed the doors and began its travel to the destination Cali had entered. The quarian cleared her throat to break the awkward silence.
"Uhm, so. After you dropped your gear we will make a short trip to some remote gallery where I can test your stuff. After that you can go your ways." she looked over to the turian. "How often have you been to omega before?"

Cali turned to look at the turian as she spoke, offering a more than necessary smile when she listened. It was rather clear she's never done business before, at least when it came to making capital.
"Sounds like a plan to me." She agreed, fiddling with the numbered lock on the armored suitcase.
"Not once before today, actually. I just came for this and, as I said on the extranet forum, some minor stuff for my employer." She explained with a nod, looking out the heavily tinted windows of the cab. Probably for safety measures she thought to herself, thinking of what she'd think were morally ill acts that lay within the monolith of a station.

I wonder what kind of employer someone like you has, Miss Cali. "There have been cases of people sent here just so their companies can cash in their insurance afterwards." She left that statement hanging with a pause."But that might as well be nasty rumours the people of Omega tell about C-Space." she added with a dead serious voice and nobody could see her grin behind the face mask.
The travel was uneventful, through a series of tunnels reserved for car traffic. Other than the more run down look of the aircars, it seemed pretty normal. If anything, Aria always kept the flow going, the business happening.
The car stopped suddenly and unfolded its doors. The building was the hotel Cali had indicated. "Alright, check in and drop your heavy luggage. I'll wait here and shoot everything that wants to get hold of this cab in the meantime," she said with a chuckle. Tuni'Za put one leg up on the dashboard, crossing her arms behind her head. She might as well have listened to music inside her helmet, nobody could know.

Cali shook her head. "My, uh... 'Company' doesn't have any insurance for its employees." She said, feeling the weight of the shotgun on her back. "Well, except for weapons, if you count that." She said chuckling to herself. "Besides that, if we die, a cleanup crew normally comes in." She explained as if it were normal conversation. She most likely sounded suspicious with her business. But with the line of work she's in, it's most likely not a big deal to the people of Omega.
As they finally made it to the hotel, Cali nodded and stepped out of the cab and into the complex. It felt like it was forever before she finally came back out, the briefcase with her still but the suitcase was gone. Something new was something hanging on her hip however. When she entered the cab again, whatever was hanging on her hip was mostly hidden by her thigh. What was visible appeared as though it was a mask.

"Well, no insurance you know of" Tuni'Za laughed. Whatever 'company' Cali was with, the fact that clean-up crews were involved didn't shake Tuni'Za visibly. Actually she nodded appreciatively. Too many merc gangs were just sloppy, a professional clean-up arrangement meant decent organisation.
~~~
"There youa rea again, great. I almost felt tempted to hand over the car to a group of hanar preachers." She used Cali's previous login (and therefore credit account) to just enter another destination. A warning sign came up. "Dammit. Hm" She punched a few buttons more.
"Okay, obviosuly Seboovarika is considered off limits for this cab. Today it has amber level alert obviously. Doesn't matter, we will jump off at GZ-56 intersection and walk the rest. Just ten minutes or so" The cab closed its doors and headed off. The quarian didn't seem to feel the need to specify why the cab wouldn't go all the way.
They had to cross the central shaft this time which provided a spectacular view.
Calistaris looked very confused by all the pathways and areas that Tuni'Za had listed, trying to pay attention to it all. "Uh... O-okay." She agreed, still trying to act as if she knew what was going on, but it was very clear she wasn't.
As they passed through the central shaft region, she looked out of the cab with bewilderment. So many other cabs and bright lights passing around, and it was all very organized, even given the notorious reputation of Omega being known for its chaotic nature.
Tuni'Za observed her companions reactions. So far there was no indication this woman was a threat of any sort. If anything, Tuni'Za felt like her guardian in this place.
"I wonder if anyone even knows how many skycabs there are exactly on Omega." she said more to herself. "After the siege there was a time when there were more cars than necessary. Bad time for junk dealer." she explained. "The priced dropped to an abyss. Excess material available for like, everyone to loot." She also remembered the time as one where the quarian population had been thinning out significantly. Not that the suit people had been a large community before but still. Suit maintenance also became a difficult business model. "But the up side was, it also became easier to get a decent apartment during that time. Nowadays population must be almost back to what it had been before." The quarian had no idea why she explained random tourist facts like that but somehow she liked this Cali girl. Let's hope her mods are any good.
The cab eventually stopped at a dusk and dirty intersection. there was junk everywhere, a few vorcha were searching a trash heap for valuables and a turian looked as if he was sleeping off a drunken night or something. If he was lucky, the vorcha wouldn't steal a leg or an arm all the while, Tuni'Za thought. She jumped out of the car. "Okay, we will walk from here, there's a place where we can test the goods." she pointed down a particularly suspicious looking gallery and lost no time. "C'mon."
Calistaris seemed to be excited at the mention of a cheap skycabs and other vehicles. She's been looking for something cheap so she doesn't have to keep using public transportation. It was very inconvenient for a lady with her profession. I'll have to look into that while I'm here.
There weren't many vorcha on the Citadel, and those that were there were usually in hiding or had their non-vorcha friends out with them to protect them from crooked C-Sec officers.
Maybe it was because of the Vorcha or maybe it was because of the suspicious alley, but something made Cali feel like she needed her "insurance" present, and as such took the large shotgun out from behind her back. She aimed it down of course to not cause any alarm. "Lead the way."
Tuni’Za marched on. The gallery was dimly lit, it was an area that could be cosiddered ‘behind the scenes’. It was a remnant of the old mining efforts, now an abandoned maze of crude – and sometimes instable – tunnels and galleries. Sounds of completely unclear origin could be heard. Screeches and moans, crackling. Was it the old rock? Was it something very distorted from venting shafts, was it something alien? Here and there were pieces of abandoned equipment, junk and remains of uncertain nature… The smell probably wasn’t pleasant but the quarian didn’t notice through her air filters.
Tuni’Za had a map up on her HUD, she would find her way around even in complete darkness and she was walking fast and with a secure step.
After a few tuns and intersections they arrived in a partially collapsed domed room which also must have served a dumpster. Various crude tunnels ended here. “Alright, here we are.” Tuni’Za took out her Shuriken. “Let me see what you’ve got, I’m quite curious about the lightweight thing.” She sat down on a boulder and indicted another for Cali to sit.
